Return and Refund Policy

At Bamboura, we take immense pride in the slow, deliberate craft of our bamboo weaving. Each piece is a labour of love, and we want you to be as delighted with your purchase as we were in making it.

However, we understand that sometimes things aren't quite right. Our policy is designed to be transparent and fully compliant with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

 

1. Changed Your Mind? (The 14-Day Window)

At Bamboura, we celebrate the art of slow fashion. Every production is hand-woven by skilled artisans, a process that requires significant preparation and time.

Should you wish to cancel your order, please notify us within the 14-day (fortnight) grace period following your payment. Due to the immediate allocation of materials and artisan labour, the following service fees apply to all cancellations:

Days 1–7 post-payment: A 15% service fee applies.

Days 8–14 post-payment: A 50% service fee applies.

Please be advised that once 14 days have passed, the crafting of your piece will be too far advanced to be halted, and cancellations can no longer be accepted.

 

2. Handcrafted vs. Bespoke Creations

At Bamboura, every piece tells a story, every Bamboura product is made by hand from start to finish. We start with raw bamboo and craft everything from scratch.

Because bamboo is a natural material, no two pieces are ever the same. Each strip of bamboo has its own unique shade and character. This means your bag might have slight differences in colour. To us, these aren't mistakes—they are proof that your bag is real, natural, and truly one-of-a-kind. No one else will have a bag quite like yours.

 

3. About Returns

After the statutory 14-day cooling-off period has concluded, we can no longer accept returns. We kindly ask you to ensure you are happy with your selection within this timeframe.

 

4. Faulty Goods& Refund

Before your Bamboura leaves our studio, it undergoes a full quality check. Should any damage occur in transit, we will provide a replacement for you. As we craft everything from scratch, please understand that a replacement will take the same amount of time to make as the first one. We truly appreciate your patience and want you to have the very best from Bamboura.

We want your Bamboura piece to arrive perfectly. When your parcel arrives, please film a quick unboxing video. This helps us confirm any transit issues with our couriers and allows us to arrange a replacement for you as quickly as possible. Simply send the footage to our customer care email support@bamboura.shop, and we’ll handle the rest.

While we understand your frustration, we must rely on our pre-dispatch quality records. Our videos show the product was in pristine condition before shipping. As the damage occurred during transit, we are unfortunately unable to recover the full cost from the courier. Given the extensive time and labour involved in crafting each piece by hand, we can only offer a 50% refund. We hope you understand that as a small studio, we must cover these significant crafting costs. We hope you understand our position on this matter.

 

5. A Note on Natural Beauty

Bamboo is a living material. Slight variations in the weave, tiny character marks, or subtle colour shifts are not faults; they are the hallmarks of a natural, hand-woven product. We believe these "imperfections" are what make your Bamboura piece truly yours.
